parking ban

ATTN Stratford: A strong nor’easter / coastal storm is headed our way that will impact Stratford and much of the Northeast from Sunday into Monday, with snow arriving during the morning and afternoon hours Sunday and intensifying Sunday night.

In anticipation of inclement winter weather and to facilitate snow removal, a Parking Ban in Stratford will be in effect beginning 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday, February 22. Residents should park on the even-numbered side of the street. Our Police Department will ticket those not in compliance. The parking ban helps make sure our Department of Public Works can plow the over 800 public roads across our community, and we appreciate everyone's cooperation.

Forecasts include snowfall ranging between 6–12 + inches in our area and wind gusts 40–60 mph+, leading to blowing snow, reduced visibility, and blizzard-like conditions. Travel may become extremely difficult or impossible at times during peak snowfall and blowing snow, and our Emergency Management team recommends that non-essential travel be avoided during the storm. Please plan accordingly and ensure you have supplies as needed.
