Starting this week, we will be hosting Neighborhood Association meetings. One of Mayor Chess's goals is to strengthen our sense of community. In every corner of our nation, people are feeling more isolated than ever and often don’t know their neighbors. He wants to change that and build upon the strong community ties across our Town. What Neighborhood Associations are:
Informal groups
No invitation needed
All community members are welcome
Each District (there are 10) will have its own association/meetings
You are welcome to attend meetings outside your District
What the Neighborhood Association does:
People share concerns
Discuss local issues
Discuss potential solutions
Consider ways to work together to make their communities better
Review and discuss land use/ development plans in their neighborhood
Has a direct connection to the Mayor’s Office and Town Council
