For the safety and well-being of all residents, the Town of Stratford, CT would like to remind everyone not to place snow back onto public streets. The Town Charter indicates that no one shall plow, shovel, or blow snow from private property onto public streets, roadways, or sidewalks. Our Department of Public Works is working hard to clear the snow on over 800 public roads in our community. When individuals place snow back onto the streets, it creates hazards for motorists and impedes municipal snow removal, causing our department the need to re-plow the streets. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
