The office will be closed Monday May 28th, 2018 in observance of Memorial Day. We will re-open on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018 at 9 am.

The SECC After-School Enrichment Program's last day is June 13th, 2018. Enrollment, registration, and sign-ups will follow for the 2018-19 year.

Spring office hours are Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and from 2:00 p.m. -4:00 pm.

The office is closed on Fridays.

Representative Joe Gresko brought a food donation to the South End Community Center, which was received by Town Councilman
Wali Kadeem and South End Community Center Program Coordinator Ty Sims. Donated food is distributed through the
Community Food Pantry, operated by the South End Community Council. 

IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (V.I.T.A)

The South End Community Council in collaboration with the Town of Stratford, Internal Revenue Services, and other agencies prepare income taxes for individuals and families who earn less than $52,000 annually.  This program also serves as a financial education program encouraging participants to establish checking and savings accounts, repair their credit, as well as assist those who qualify with claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit on their returns.  The program operates on Thursdays at the SECC starting February 1st, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We also will be at Franklin School on Mondays starting January 29th, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  All sites prepare taxes by appointment only.  Call (203) 377-0689 to schedule an appointment.

Summer Soiree- Summer Enrichment Program

6-week summer enrichment program for children in grades K-6. Children will participate in age-appropriate, theme based activities and weekly field trips. Program runs July 2nd to August 10th, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. with extended hours available from 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Register at SECC or via email ( Space is limited. Extended hours are $30/week per child. Regular Weekly Soiree Fee is $150/week, second child $75/week and third child $65/week. Financial Aid applications are available March 1st-April 21, 2018 (first come first served).
