The office will be closed Monday February 19, 2018 in observance of Washington's Birthday (Presidents' Day). We will re-open on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 9 am.
Winter office hours are Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and from 2:00 p.m. -4:00 pm.
The office is closed on Fridays.

Wali Kadeem and South End Community Center Program Coordinator Ty Sims. Donated food is distributed through the
Community Food Pantry, operated by the South End Community Council.

IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (V.I.T.A)
The South End Community Council in collaboration with the Town of Stratford, Internal Revenue Services, and other agencies prepare income taxes for individuals and families who earn less than $52,000 annually. This program also serves as a financial education program encouraging participants to establish checking and savings accounts, repair their credit, as well as assist those who qualify with claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit on their returns. The program operates on Thursdays at the SECC starting February 1st, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We also will be at Franklin School on Mondays starting January 29th, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All sites prepare taxes by appointment only. The SECC Black History Month Contest
The South End Community Center, in collaboration with the Stratford Library, is co-sponsoring the Black History Month 2018 Contest entitled, "Celebrating African American Firsts." Entires are due February 9th, 2018 to the South End Community Center and must list the child’s name, school, age, grade and parent contact number. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 entries (for children of the Town of Stratford in grades K-5).
Entries can be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to 203-377-1341. Entries may be dropped off to 19 Bates Street Stratford, CT 06615 as well. Summer Soiree- Summer Enrichment Program
6-week summer enrichment program for children in grades K-6. Children will participate in age-appropriate, theme based activities and weekly field trips. Program runs July 3rd to August 11th, 2017 from 9:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. with extended hours available from 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Register at SECC. No mail-in registration. Space is limited. Extended hours are $30/week per child. Fee is $150/week, second child $75/week and third child $60/week. Financial Aid applications are available March 1st-April 21, 2017 (first come first served).
