Donations to the Baldwin Center
If you would like to make a donation to Stratford Senior Services please mail checks to: Stratford Senior Services, Raymond E. Baldwin Center, 1000 West Broad Street, Stratford, CT 06615. Donations are greatly appreciated.
In addition to monetary donations, we accept yarn and craft items, some books and recent magazines. Other donations (for example, someone has a collection they would like on display for a few months) can be discussed with Marie Guman or Diane Puterski by calling 203-385-4055.

Commission on Aging
Commission members are appointed by the Mayor and make recommendations on behalf of senior Town residents. They assist with advocacy and research regarding concerns of older adults in the Stratford Community. Contact person: Diane Puterski, Director of Senior Services.
Coffee Shop Assistant
The Coffee Shop, a vital part of Baldwin Center, is open 5 days a week from 8:30 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. Coffee Shop attendants serve hot drinks, soda and bakery items, which are sold at a reasonable price. They assist with refreshments for meetings and socialize with customers. A real "people person" position! Contact person: Marie Guman, Program Supervisor.
Center Shopper
Shopper purchases items needed for coffee shop, C.A.R.E.S. program and social activities at the Center. Supplies are generally purchased at Costco or local supermarkets. Contact person: Marie Guman.
Benefits Program Assistant
Interviews and assists others in filling out applications for Town, state or federal programs. Training is provided. Contact person: Lisa Stone, Municipal Agent.
C.A.R.E.S. Program Assistant
Assists frail elders in social and recreational programming. Activities include lunch aide, activity leader, craft assistant and much more.
Receptionist
Answers phone and greets Center visitors. Contact person: Marie Guman, Program Supervisor .
Information Desk Attendant
Assists with new member registration, orientates members to computer check-in, handles registrations for special programs and activities, provides general information about Center activities. Contact person: Marie Guman, Program Supervisor.
Community Cafe Assistant
Prepares, serves and assists with Salvation Army Nutrition Program at the Center, which is the largest meal site in the region. Contact person: Carmen Pizarro
Friendly Visitor
Visits frail, homebound seniors on a weekly or monthly basis. Even one visit can make a difference. Contact person: Kerri Frances, Outreach Coordinator.
Friendly Shopper
Lends a helping hand for elders who can no longer do their own food shopping. Contact person: Kerri Frances, Outreach Coordinator.
Program Presenters
Travel, magic, arts, crafts, music, literature, history, hobbies, etc. Share your talents! Contact person: Marie Guman, Program Supervisor.
Center Decor Team
Assists with seasonal decorations in Center lobby, waters plants, designs and decorates bulletin boards in lobby. Contact persons: Diane Puterski, Director or Lauren Donovan, Media Liaison.
Service Clubs
Benefit the Center and the Stratford community through vital Center organizations such as Men's Club, AARP, Social Planning Committee and Community Service Committee. Contact persons: Diane Puterski, Director and Marie Guman, Program Supervisor.
