Men's Softball League cancelled Monday July 25 due to inclement weather.  Games are rescheduled for Monday August 1.

Summer Sunset Concert Series continues Tuesday July 26 with the Robert Atwood Band at 7:00 pm.  Rain date is July 28.

The Recreation Dept is taking reservations for tickets to Team USA vs Canada at the Webster Bank Arena on Friday July 29 at 7:00 pm.  Australia will play France at 4:30 pm (doors open at 3:30 pm)  Center Court seats are $40 (regularly $49.50).  Tickets are on sale now and can be picked up at the Recreation Dept as of July 18.


The mission of the Recreation Department is to provide quality, affordable recreational services to enable the entire community to utilize their leisure time, and to enhance the quality of life. We provide individuals with facilities and programs through which they have an opportunity for social interaction, to improve their physical conditioning, to develop new skills, and to enjoy safe, wholesome, and satisfying activities. We also establish cooperation with community and area agencies to complement, or supplement their services.
The Department reserves the picnic pavilions at Short Beach and Boothe Park as well as the Boothe Park Dining Hall.

Recreation Department offices are closed Friday February 12, Monday February 15, Friday March 25, Monday May 30, Monday July 4, and Monday September 5.

The Stratford Recreation Department staff is certified in CPR and first aid.

All Recreation Department programs are open to everyone in Town. Any individuals with a disability who need special assistance to participate in the programs should contact the Recreation Office.
