Opportunities can involve after school sports and learning programs, special events throughout the year and summer camps. We offer our volunteers First Aid and CPR training and orientation programs. Our volunteers must fill out an application at the Recreation Department and go through a screening process to determine the best fit for the volunteer and the programs. There are several benefits for youth in volunteering such as personal growth, community awareness, developing leadership skills, new friends, positive activity and community service experience for jobs, college and financial aid. Applications for summer volunteering are due by June 4. All summer volunteers must attend our summer orientation for training, paperwork and placement.
