Stratford Community Services

Stratford Youth Sports Association (SYSA)

 The Stratford Youth Sports Association (SYSA) is an unincorporated group formed for the purpose of promoting positive youth development through sports. The SYSA provides a forum for youth sports leagues and other representatives to discuss ideas and concerns, and to develop and implement solutions to shared problems and is working to raise community standards in youth sports.

The SYSA is comprised of representatives from the following youth leagues:


Stratford Little League

Sterling House Community Center
   

Stratford PAL
Pop Warner Football

Stratford Baseball Association

Other representatives include parents, youth, coaches, officials, clergy, local Youth Service Bureau and community organizations.
 
The SYSA officers are President Bill O'Brien, Vice-President George Grom, Secretary Sue Nealy and Treasurer Carl Russo.

The SYSA meets quarterly.  The next meeting is scheduled on December 2, 2009 at 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Birdseye Municipal Complex.  For more information, contact Bill O'Brien at Sterling House Community Center at bobrien@sterlinghousecc.org or 378-2606, ext.106.
