The Office of Economic Development welcomes you to our monthly update on economic activity in the Town of Stratford.
- Commercial, industrial, retail and office building permits for the month of February totaled $708,000 bring the total for the two-month period to $994,500.
- New faces in the business community are Savin Rock Roasting Company, replacing the former Harborside Bar and Grill on Ferry Boulevard and East Café replacing Happy Gardens in Paradise Green.
- Another change on the business front will be Shop Rite’s purchase of Shaw’s at Stratford Crossings. Shaw’s is scheduled to close their operation on March 27. Shop Rite plans minor renovations and restocking of shelves prior to their Grand Opening.
- Dogstar Studios will present their formal application to the Zoning Commission on March 16. Closing on the former Exxon/Mobil site is scheduled for April 15.
- The Greater Fairfield County Consolidated Listing Service reported that 26 single-family homes sold during the month of February at an average selling price of $223,739 and were on the market an average of 119 days.
