PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, Janice Schuck, Math Teacher at Bunnell High School, has announced that after forty three years as an educator in the Town of Stratford’s Public School System she is retiring; and

WHEREAS, Janice Schuck joined the Town of Stratford Public School System and became an invaluable member of the Bunnell High School community as she educated and mentored students of the community; and

WHEREAS, Janice Schuck throughout her forty three years as an educator has also served as Student Council Advisor for the past twelve years and has witnessed the election and success of over fifty student government leaders; and

WHEREAS, Janice Schuck has contributed countless hours to the Stratford community through her unending spirit of giving as noted through her dedication to the American Red Cross; Toys for Tots, the Sterling House Food Pantry, and Relay for Life; and

WHEREAS, Janice Schuck service as an educator has served the Town of Stratford not only as a math teacher, a student council advisor and a mentor, but as a leader that has been able to make a positive change in the lives of hundreds of young people and the community; and

NOW, THEREFORE, I, James R. Miron, Mayor, do hereby invite all members of the community to join me in thanking Janice Schuck for her exemplary service to the students and community of the Town of Stratford and ask you to join me in wishing her much happiness and health throughout her retirement.
