PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, Stratford resident Anthony John Chabla has been an active member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 71 since 2001; and

WHEREAS, In October of 2008, Anthony John Chabla was a student at Stratford’s Bunnell Hight School and an Eagle Scout candidate; and

WHEREAS, Anthony John Chabla is being recognized today at the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, As his Eagle Scout project, Anthony John Chabla worked with Ms. Carole B. Adzima, Executive Director of Perry House, to plan and execute repairs of the Stratford Perry House walkway; one of Stratford’s oldest homesteads; and

WHEREAS, Anthony John Chabla has set a fine example and demonstrates the finest qualities of the Boy Scouts of America and his actions set a positive example for other youth; and

NOW, THEREFORE, I, James R. Miron, Mayor, do hereby invite everyone to join me in thanking Anthony John Chabla for his exemplary service to the Stratford Community and in congratulating him on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
