PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Stratford Little League provides experiences in youth baseball that will help young people grow into healthier and happier adults; and
WHEREAS, 2009 is Stratford Little League’s 61st year of continuous operation; and
WHEREAS, Stratford Little League is the Town of Stratford’s oldest organized youth sports program; and
WHEREAS, the number of players participating in Stratford Little League has grown each of the last several years and now stands at 450; and
WHEREAS, the players are one of the finest groups of young men and women to ever participate in the Stratford Little League; and
NOW THEREFORE, I, James R. Miron, Mayor of the Town of Stratford proclaim April 25, 2009 as
STRATFORD LITTLE LEAGUE DAY
in the Town of Stratford, and congratulate the league on celebrating its 61st anniversary with every best wish for continued success.
