BACK NEXT 11-18-07 The Planning Commission, Greenway Committee, State Department of Environmental Protection and Mayor James R. Miron held a Ground Breaking Ceremony at the Hunter Haven property in Stratford to kick off the construction of a waterfront seating area project. The seating area represents the first step in the development of a greenway (bikeway/walkway) in Stratford. The project will be located on the western shore of the Housatonic River on the Hunter Haven property, which is directly behind and accessed over the Frank DeLuca Memorial Ballfield property, 1000 Main Street, Stratford.

The Town of Stratford, the CT Department of Environmental Protection’s Long Island Sound License Plate Program and the Stratford Rotary Club have funded the seating area project. The project was designed to provide public access and enjoyment of this Town-owned waterfront property. For further information, please call Town Planner Dave Killeen at (203) 385-4017.
