04-09-07 Children in Stratford's 4th and 5th grades recently took part in a Fire Prevention Poster Contest, organized by Lieutenant Robert Daniel, Deputy Fire Marshal. The winners, Giselle Bonilla (grade 4) and Gabrielle Rooney (grade 5), both pictured above, are students at Lordship School. Mayor Miron and Assistant Chief Thomas Velky, Fire Marshal, honored the winners who received an award, a copy of their winning poster and a $100.00 savings bond from Local 998, Stratford Professional Firefighters Union. Giselle and Gabrielle will represent the Town of Stratford in the statewide Fire Prevention Poster Contest.
