02-13-07 The Stratford High School Boys Varsity Football Team was honored at the February Town Council meeting for finishing the 2006 season with an outstanding regular season record of 9-2, including winning the Harvey Manning Trophy by beating cross town athletic rival and 2006 Class L State Champion, Bunnell High School. In addition, the Team, led by Head Coach Duane Shirden, were runner’s up in the 2006 Class SS Football Playoffs.
